Getting around in Austin

In case you somehow haven't heard this before, the public transportation system here SUUUUCKS! The train and the bus sytem are a joke, and taxi cabs are iffy at best.
Now if you're lodging downtown and you;re even slightly an athletic type you can actually walk to most of the cool places I'm going to tell you about. If not (or you're not used to walking in 95° heat) then I would highly suggest procuring transportation. Rent a car (best suggestion), use Uber, or sign up for Car2Go®. Otherwise search the Anniversary Party group for somebody to carpool with.
